Terms of Use

By creating an account or otherwise using Real World Opinion ("RWO", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to data processing, whichever is higher. If you use RWO on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials safe. Some features require identity verification, which may include phone number confirmation and a photo review. Verified members receive a badge. Verification does not endorse the opinions of that member; it only confirms they went through our review process.

You keep ownership of the posts, comments, polls, votes, and messages you submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content you grant RWO a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt for formatting, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the service, including sharing polls to social platforms when you choose to do so. You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Polls on RWO reflect the opinions of participating users at a given moment. They are not scientific surveys, official election results, or professional advice. Poll outcomes may change over time as more members vote. Do not present RWO poll results as certified statistics.

Paid tiers unlock additional features. Subscriptions are billed through our payment processor (Stripe) on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices, features, and taxes may change with reasonable notice.

You agree not to break the law, harass or threaten others, post hateful or discriminatory content, impersonate people, spam, scrape, reverse engineer the service, interfere with security features, or manipulate polls with fake accounts. See our Community Guidelines for the full list.

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our guidelines. Read more on our Moderation page.

Use the in-app report button on any post, comment, or profile that appears to violate our rules. Copyright holders who believe content infringes their rights can contact us at Hello@Realworldopinion.com with a description of the work, the URL of the alleged infringement, and a statement of good faith belief and accuracy.

RWO relies on third parties such as our hosting, database, authentication, email, SMS, and payment providers. Their availability and terms may affect the service. RWO is not responsible for third-party content linked from user posts.

RWO is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RWO and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 50 EUR. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.

You can close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (content licence, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will remain in effect after termination.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Sweden, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence grant you another forum.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use of RWO after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
